What we fund
Our income from investments allows Trustees to award around 70 grants each year, mainly ranging from £200
to £10,000.
Projects requiring either capital or revenue support will be considered, but the Trustees are unwilling to commit to funding more than 1 year at any one time.
Applications are considered at meetings in March, June, September and December and should be sent to the Grants Coordinator at least a month beforehand.
Grants of less than £3,500 are considered by the Small Grants Committee in between the main Trustee meetings.
Trustees remain committed to supporting initiatives that meet the needs of local communities, the vulnerable and the disadvantaged. They are also keen to support evolving organisations on their journey to becoming registered charities who are focused on the funding priorities of the Trust.
Please note that individual Guide Units should only apply through their umbrella regional body.
Charities should not apply to both the Frieda Scott and Francis C Scott Charitable Trusts at the same time and we would encourage you to seek guidance from the staff if you are unsure.
